Advantages:

Disadvantages:
1. High price: PTFE gaskets cost more than other sealing materials. This is because PTFE polymer is a special material.
2. PTFE gaskets can easily deform under pressure. They are soft, making them prone to changes when compressed. Thus, some high-pressure sealing applications must have special designs.
3. Not suitable for large, hot areas: PTFE gaskets can break down and burn when exposed to high temperatures for too long. Use them carefully.
